AUTODESK APPOINTS NEW BUSINESS LEADERS IN ASEAN
THAILAND, 24 March 2016 – Autodesk, a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, announced the promotion of Rama Tiwari and Arpaporn Suporntip (Yee) to leadership positions in ASEAN.
Tiwari is responsible for the strategic direction and overall profitability of Autodesk’s business as Regional Director of Sales in ASEAN, while Suporntip will drive the company’s operations, channel partner programs and territory expansion as Country Manager of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos.
“Rama and Khun Yee are industry veterans with two decades of collective Autodesk experience under their belt. As we continue our shift to a subscription-based business model worldwide, they will be instrumental in accelerating Autodesk’s growth and expanding our presence in the region,” said Patrick Williams, senior vice president, Autodesk Asia Pacific.
Tiwari relocated back to his native Singapore from Autodesk’s headquarters in San Francisco where he was most recently the global director of the Volume Sales and Strategy team. There he spearheaded the successful transformation of the company’s flagship AutoCAD portfolio from a perpetual license-based sales model to a subscription-based business. A trained lawyer, he joined Autodesk as legal counsel for Asia Pacific in 2006, and has since held various senior roles in both territory and channel sales.
Likewise, Suporntip has held various managerial roles in Autodesk since she joined in 2007. She has been instrumental in growing the company’s architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) and AutoCAD business lines in Thailand as territory sales lead, as well as expanding Autodesk’s partner network as Channel Sales Manager for Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia. Her solid track record of success led Suporntip to be promoted to the position of Thailand country manager in 2015, and she added Myanmar and Laos to her remit in 2016.
